PHILIP SCHOEFFEL - MY Story
I am Philip Schoeffel, director and founder of Advanced Farm Systems (and Livestock Pregnancy Scanning). I was born in 1959 in Sydney and moved with the Family to Tamworth in 1962 which started my long standing love of the Agricultural business with a specific interest in Livestock. In 1972 my father , Rex Schoeffel, along with his brother Ken Schoeffel, had started "The Daken Corporation" and "Denkavit Calf Milk Replacement Powder" along with a tractor implement company (manufacturing in Melbourne). Their background was as Dairy farmers (with their father Alfred Emile Schoeffel), on the outskirts of Liverpool at Hoxton Park, prior to the Second World War. Their father Alfred, in addition to being a Dairy Farmer, was also a very active cattle buyer and trader. The two Schoeffel boys, Ken and Rex subsequently founded many Agricultural businesses. Rex in particular started with United Buyers just after the war years, that then evolved into Grasslands. They went farming with the family in Tamworth, and then became involved with The Daken Corporation. The Daken Corporation specialised in veterinary equipment, electric fencing , tractor linkage equipment, irrigation and silage equipment. Rex won over 30 awards at The Australian National Field Days in Orange - for new implements for the Agricultural Industry. Most of these inventions, ideas and concepts are still in use to this day. The Family sold their interest in The Daken Group in 1987 after the death of Rex and Ken (within a few years of each other).
At an early age I was cast to be involved in this wonderful Australian farming industry - one that features the most outstanding and hardest working livestock farmers anywhere in the world.
Sally SCHOEFFEL - Business woman / "The Horse Wife"
Born in 1966, Sally Walsh (my partner & wife), has spent the best part of her life on the land. Her connection with the land began as a toddler, when her family moved from Cronulla to the Southern Highlands of NSW. In addition to her time on the land (with her Medical Doctor father and his beloved Herefords), Sally worked in a Southern Highlands based Veterinary Clinic for 25 years. This experience in a Vet Clinic drove home the importance of livestock pregnancy scanning, and livestock health and well-being. As a consequence, Sally has a wealth of knowledge about animal husbandry and that continues to prove invaluable with our livestock pregnancy scanning technology & training business (Advanced Farm Systems), that she helps manage and operate.
She has an active and special interest in show horses, and hence she is referred to as "The Horse Wife", not the housewife. Now, Sally is a busy woman! She runs her own Water Fitness and Health business called Metaqua (www.metaqua.com.au), helps with Advanced Farm Systems, looks after our two small farms on the Mid North Coast of NSW, and helps keep me safe and happy (apparently a big job!?).

QLD Training: David McCabe - Ultrasound Pregnancy Scanning Product Training
My name is David McCabe , a passionate cattle breeder for most of my life. At beginning of 2019 ago I started a program to deliver Bovine Reproductive Training to Cattle Breeders after learning to Artificially Inseminate Cows in 1999 then teaching Artificial Insemination and Manual Pregnancy Testing forming our Training Company, "All State Agricultural Service" which is a Registered Training Company in Queensland and NSW.I offer courses / practical workshops teaching Manual Pregnancy Palpation, Artificial Insemination techniques and skills, and now Ultrasound Pregnancy Scanning using the EQ-1 Scanner from Advanced Farm Systems after receiving training from Philip Schoeffel in December 2024.
In addition I will be distributing the EQ-1 Scanner to those that I have trained. The EQ-1 represents the biggest breakthrough in Cattle Pregnancy Scanning that I have seen in the last thirty years. Two breakthroughs stand out, Image Clarity and the Price.
I also offer a commercial Contracting Services in the above skill set.
